Thank You From the Family of Pastor Emeritus Stephen M. Robinson Sr. We would like to express our deepest gratitude and appreciation for all of the love, kindness and thoughtful gestures that have been bestowed upon us during our time of bereavement. Several cards were given without returned addresses. Stephen passed away Sunday August 20th, 2017 at the Loyola Hospital in Maywood, Illinois. Stephen was former Pastor of Zion Temple COGIC, (1997ยท2013) 200 S. 4th St. Murphysboro, Illinois, 618-203-3700. He was married to Eugenia (Hutcherson) Robinson of Murphysboro 44 years. She was his caregiver from 2004 until his death. Stephen was the Father of Stephen (Neophansya) Robinson Jr. of Carbondale, and Stacie (Embra) Patterson of Decatur II. He had 6 Grandchildren. and 6 Siblings. Stephen was formerly employed by Manpower Skill Center, Ordill area (70s) and Menard Corrections of Chester as a Math Instructor (1980-2005). Special thanks given to Sean Algee and the Austin Layne Funeral Home in St. Louis, MO. along with Mike Walton and the Jackson Funeral Home of Carbondale, Kesha Mizelle with the Walker funeral home in Decatur II, and Marcus Harrison and the Harrison funeral home in Alton II. Stephen was preceded in death by his parents Jacob and Waudeen Robinson of Decatur, IL.
