The Pyramids weren't performed in one day

INA - Pyramid Players theater troupes are celebrating their 32nd annual season with three productions slated for summer 2008. The thespians will perform "Willy Wonka," "Into the Woods" and "Forever Plaid."

There are roles available for seven men, 12 women and a singing ensemble for "Into the Woods." Interested parties may attend open tryouts 2 p.m. Saturday in the community room in Illinois Center Mall in Marion. Auditioners are requested to prepare a short song; an accompanist and CD player will be provided.

Willy Wonka will go on at 7:30 p.m. June 26 and 27 and "Into the Woods" at 7:30 p.m. July 24 through 26 in Rend Lake College. Ticket prices are $12 each. "Forever Plaid" will be a dinner show Aug. 9 and 10 in Nostalgia Grill in Benton.
