The Stage Co. announces its 2008-2009 season CARBONDALE - The Stage Co. recently unveiled its 2008-2009 season, their first in the new Varsity Center for the Arts. Things will kick off in the renovated east wing of the theater in October with Neil Simon's "Star Spangled Girl." It will run for two weekends, Oct. 24-25, Oct. 31-Nov. 2. Tickets go on sale Oct. 10. The next production will be Daniel Sullivan's "Inspecting Carol." It will also run for two weekends, Dec. 12-14 and 19-21. Tickets go on sale Nov. 28. February of 2009 will bring Ken Ludwig's "Leading Ladies" to the stage, again for two weekends, Feb. 20-22 and Feb. 27-March 1. Tickets go on sale Feb. 6. The regular season will conclude with Noel Coward's "Blithe Spirit," April 24, 25, 26 and May 1, 2 and 3. Friday and Saturday evening performances are at 7:30 p.m. Sunday matinee performances are at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 per person for reserved seating. The box office is open weekdays 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Saturdays 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. and one hour prior to performances. Call 549-5466 for ticket reservations. The Stage Co.'s 2009 Summer Family production will be "Snoopy! The Musical!" Dates for this performance is still forthcoming. Renovation work continues on the Varsity Center for the Arts.
