Take note of the permanent marker exhibit

CARBONDALE - Jack Harris of Du Quoin wants the public to get the felt-tipped point of his Sharpie artwork. There will be at reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 24, in Carbondale Civic Center Corridor Gallery.

Harris' work includes abstract pieces drawn with Sharpie brand markers. He plans to release a book featuring his brightly-colored drawings in 2009.

The show will run until July 31 and has been hosted by Carbondale Community Arts.
