Pinckneyville Community Hospital is partnering with Clayton Sleep Institute to provide sleep lab services at the hospital.
“We, at Clayton Sleep Institute, are excited to be collaborating with the Pinckneyville community and working together with the medical and hospital staff to join them in excellent sleep care,” Clayton Sleep Lab owner/founder Dr. Joseph Ojile said in a news release.
Sleep Lab rooms are outfitted for comfort, featuring beds with pillow top mattresses, private bathrooms and televisions. Trained and registered professionals monitor and record brain waves, breathing, muscle activity, heart rhythms and blood oxygen levels throughout the night.
“We have the capabilities to screen patients for sleep apnea, periodic limb movement disorder, and narcolepsy all right here in Pinckneyville,” Eric Campbell, Pinckneyville Community Hospital Specialty Clinic Manager, said in the news release.
Sleep studies will be conducted by Registered Polysomnographic Technologists and the results will be interpreted by board certified sleep physicians Dr. Terry Brown, Dr. Suhail Istanbouly, Dr. Joseph Ojile and Dr. Amar Sawar.
