The Stage Company is hosting auditions for its next production, "Agnes of God."

Auditions will be at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, and Monday, Nov. 13. Callbacks will be Tuesday, Nov. 14.

The play follows Dr. Martha Livingstone, a court-appointed psychiatrist, who is summoned to a convent and charged with assessing the sanity of a novice accused of murdering her newborn. Miriam Ruth, the Mother Superior, keeps young Agnes from the doctor, arousing Livingstone's suspicions: Who killed the infant and who fathered the tiny victim? Livingstone's questions force all three women to re-examine the meaning of faith and the power of love.

Roles are open for three female actors: one age 15 to 20, one age 35 to 45, and one age 50 to 70. The auditions will consist of cold readings. A copy of the script is available at the reserve desk at Carbondale Public Library.

The show will be performed at The Varsity Center from Feb. 9 to 11 and Feb. 15 to 18, 2018.
