Award-winning writer and photographer Gayle Harper will be screening a short film at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18 at Carbondale Community Arts' Artspace 304. The presentation is based on her book "Roadtrip with a Raindrop: 90 Days Along the Mississippi River." A small group discussion and reading will follow at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19.
"'Roadtrip with a Raindrop' is described by National Geographic Photographer Bob Krist as '…a beautiful, warm and intimate portrait, as stunning to look at as it is to read, that makes us appreciate all that the Mississippi River has meant and continues to mean to America,'" according to a news release from Carbondale Community Arts.
