A collection of river paintings will be on display at the River Discover Center from Jan. 19 to March 1.

The collection of paintings is by artist William F. Renzulli, a self-taught artist.

Renzulli began painting river scenes about two years ago, when he began working from photos taken with his cellphone along Paducah's riverfront, which is the border with Illinois.

Renzulli left his internal medicine practice in 1981 to pursue painting. He has worked with watercolor, pastels, clay mono-typing, acrylics and a variety of mixed mediums.

Admission to the exhibit is free. Museum hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The River Discovery Center is at 117 S. Water St. in downtown Paducah. For more information, call the River Discovery Center at 270-575-9958.
