Two co-authors who have written a book about the history of murder in Johnson County will appear in Vienna Saturday to sign copies of their book.

The book, “The Law and Judge Lynch: 200 Years of Murder in Johnson County, Illinois," explores murder in Johnson County from 1812 to 2012, including the six murders in the coounty in 1899 that overloaded the court system, the two trials concerning the well-publicized Carterville mines murder trials, which were brought to Vienna, and  the vigilante lynching of Lannes Patillo in 1868.

The authors, Ed and Diane Annable, will appear from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 13, at From The Past Antiques shop located on the historic public square in Vienna.
