Maiden Alley Cinema is getting set for its seventh annual Oktoberfest, which will take place on Saturday, Oct. 17.
The proceeds from the festival go toward operations for the cinema, which is a nonprofit movie theater that primarily plays independent films.
This year's event will feature beer from several regional breweries, including Ava's Scratch, Paducah's Dry Ground and Beer Werks, Louisville, Kentucky's Against The Grain and Milewide, and more. For a complete list, visit maidenalleyoktoberfest.org.
The event also includes a Bavarian food spread, live music by eight different bands, and one fill of the Oktoberfest commemorative beer stein that is also included. The event also features a VIP ticket option this year, which allows access to the Market House Event Building and Courtyard, a special tasting glass and exclusive beer tastings.
Early bird tickets are on sale now for $32, and the VIP experience is an additional $8. Buy tickets at maidenalleyoktoberfest.org.
Festival organizers are also looking for volunteers to help out during the event. Visit the website to learn more.
