The Vietnam War, a new 10-part, 18-hour documentary film series directed by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick, will premiere on PBS stations nationwide and WSIU Public Television on Sunday night.

The series will air on WSIU-TV8 and WUSI-TV16 at 7 p.m. from Sunday, Sept. 17, through Thursday, Sept. 21, and Sunday, Sept. 24 through Thursday, Sept. 28. Each episode will repeat immediately after its initial broadcast. The series will be rebroadcast weekly in its entirety on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. from Oct. 3 through Nov. 28.

Episodes will also be available via streaming, in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese, at www.pbs.org/kenburns/the-vietnam-war/watch and on PBS apps for iOS, Android, Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Chromecast.

WSIU is also seeking stories from local Vietnam War veterans, those on the homefront, and others who experienced events surrounding the war, which may be shared on the air on WSIU-TV and WSIU Radio, and/or online at wsiu.org.
