Caroline Bremer and Blaze Currie were united in marriage March 19, 2016, in St. John's Church in Metropolis, with Pastor Tom Emmerson officiating. The church is where the bride's grandparents were married 60 years ago and her father currently serves as pastor.

The bridegroom is the son of Joel and Barbara Currie of Seagraves, Texas.

The bride wore a custom-made white, backless Bohemian style gown made of lace and silk chiffon.

The newlyweds greeted guests at a dessert reception immediately after the ceremony at the church and an evening barbecue and karaoke celebration at Fat Edd's Roadhouse in Metropolis.

The family of the groom is hosting an additional reception for family and friends July 1, at the Bayer Museum of Agriculture in Lubbock, Texas.

After a honeymoon at Thatch Caye Resort in Belize, they are at home in Champaign.

The bride graduated from Vienna High School, and she is an Oklahoma State University graduate with a bachelor of science in agricultural economics. She works as a business manager for The Climate Corporation, a subsidiary of Monsanto Company, where she is responsible for the sale and support of their digital agriculture platform.

The groom works for the University of Illinois as a teaching and research assistant while pursuing his master of science in agricultural education. He also works for AgriCorps, a nonprofit organization he co-founded with his best friend that places agriculture volunteers in developing countries. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor of science in agricultural leadership and development.
