Karla Jensen and Mitchell Draves were united in marriage on June 1, 2013, in Mulkeytown Christian Church in Mulkeytown. The Rev. Kurt Jensen officiated.

Mr. and Mrs. Kurt and Jill Jensen of Murphysboro are the parents of the bride.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Scott and Valerie Draves of Murphysboro.

The Maid of honor was Eliza Hutchings of Murphysboro. Bridesmaids were Caroline Taylor of Springfield, Kendra Manning of Taylorville and Jenna McNair of Quincy. The Flower Girls were Adrienne and Bethany Bell of Neoga.

The Best Man was Eric Draves of Quincy. Groomsmen were Michael Buhman of Carbondale, Joseph Madel of Pensacola, Fla. and Charlie Madel of Murphysboro.

Users were Rob Basanta of Safford, Ariz. And Bryce Schumacher of Rolla, Mo.

Music at the wedding was provided by Will Friend, pianist, of Mulkeytown and Kendra Manning, soloist, preformed “Sea of Love” on autoharp and “Silly Love Songs” on guitar. Beattie Waldren Band provided music at the reception.

The newlyweds greeted guests at a reception held at a reception at the 17th Street Warehouse in Murphysboro.

The bride is a 2008 graduate of Murphysboro High School and received her BFA in photography at University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. She is working as a photographer and pharmacy technician.

The bridegroom is a 2009 graduate of Murphysboro High School and will graduate with a bachelor’s degree in computer science at U of I in December.
