Rex Emery, an independent insurance consultant from Du Quoin will be running for a county commissioner seat currently held by Republican Sam Robb of Pinckneyville. Robb is seeking re-election.

No Republicans filed to run for any other countywide offices.

A Democratic ballot will also feature one contested race for precinct committeeman in Pinckneyville Precinct 6; Arthur Ashbrook will challenge Beth Lipe in that race.
