CARTERVILLE - WSIL TV reports its transmitter is back up and running, following a morning outage that prevented the station from airing its early broadcast.
Mike Snuffer, news director of WSIL, said the TV station lost its signal between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. after the power went out to the main transmitter near Creal Springs.
Snuffer said the news department was staffed and prepared to broadcast the early morning news report, but the transmitter didn't cooperate. A Web cast version of the news show was offered on the station's online site, www.wsiltv.com.
