CARBONDALE - Someone apparently walked off with a load of textbooks from Faner Hall at Southern Illinois University Carbondale over the Thanksgiving break.

The SIUC Department of Public Safety reported on Monday that 16 textbooks, valued at about $1,120, are believed stolen from Faner Hall.

There was no forcible entry, police said, and no suspects have yet been identified.
