The district's Alcohol Countermeasure Enforcement surveys were conducted at various establishments on the evening of May 14 in Williamson, Franklin, and Perry counties, according to a report released by state police, to determine which businesses may be selling alcoholic beverages to people under 21 years of age.

A total of 38 locations were surveyed in Marion, Christopher, Sesser, Zeigler, Buckner, Du Quoin, and Tamaroa.

The following businesses were involved in the sell of alcohol to minors, the release said: S.I. Pit Stop LLC, Marion; Buckner Rend Lake Motel, Buckner; Ten Pin Alley, Du Quoin; Slb Corp., Du Quoin; Kroger, Du Quoin; Alongi's, Du Quoin; One Stop Smoke Shop and Liquor, Du Quoin; and Sportland Liquors, Christopher.

Employees involved in the sales were arrested for unlawful delivery of alcoholic liquor to a minor, a Class A misdemeanor and were released on a notice to appear in court, the release said.
