MAKANDA - Illinois Department of Transportation and Canadian National Railroad will begin to repair the railroad crossing at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, in Makanda. Repairs are expected to take one day and should be completed on Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 16.

Motorists should seek alternate routes, and no traffic will be permitted through the construction area.
