MASCOUTAH - There's a new commander of Scott Air Force Base's 375th Airlift Wing.

Air Force Colonel Gary Goldstone took over the duties Monday for Colonel Alan Hunt Junior, who'd been in the post for more than two years.

The Airlift Wing is responsible for the U.S. military's global mobility.

Hunt will stay at Scott, serving as the executive officer to the commander of the base's Air Mobility Command.

Scott is near the Metro East community of Mascoutah (muh-SKOO'-tuh), about 20 miles southeast of East St. Louis.
