The Southern Illinois AIDS Christmas Project still needs help to meet the needs of over 135 low-income households impacted by HIV and AIDS throughout Southern Illinois.

The project can be supported in two ways.

First, people are needed to help sponsor the Christmas needs of these low-income families. The project has clothing sizes and gift requests for these households, and is seeking volunteers willing to go out and purchase the needs of one of these low-income households.

In addition, funds are being raised to provide each of these households with a grocery store gift card. Donations can be sent to the Christmas Project c/o Newman Center, 715 S. Washington St., Carbondale, IL 62901.

Final deliveries will be made on Dec. 23 and 24, so support is need as soon as possible. To volunteer or for more information, contact Wally Paynter at (618) 382-2015, (812) 480-0204 or wallypaynter@aol.com.
