BENTON - The three suspects arrested in connection with the nearly two-year disappearance of a 6-year-old boy will be arraigned today in Franklin County court.
Shannon Wilfong, Diane Dobbs and Robert Sandefur are scheduled to be in court at 1:30 p.m. to hear the charges against them.
A grand jury earlier indicted Wilfong, 30, on charges of felony child abduction and endangering the life and health of a child in the disappearance of her son, Richard Chekevdia, who vanished in November 2007 when the child's father was granted temporary custody.
The child was found in September hiding behind a wall in the home of Dobbs, his grandmother. Both Dobbs and Sandefur are charged with aiding and abetting child abduction. The two are also accused of harassing the mother of a potential witness in the case.
This will be the second appearance at the courthouse this week for Wilfong, who is fighting for visitation rights.
The boy is in state custody while he gets counseling meant to eventually reunite him with his father. A decision has not yet been made on that issue.
