Franklin County Treasurer John Gulley has announced he will turn in his letter of resignation to the Franklin County Board during its February meeting to take a position as controller at Rend Lake College.
“I am excited about my new opportunity,” Gulley said in a news release. He also thanked the voters who elected him in 2006 and again in 2010, and 2014. Gulley’s resignation will take effect. Feb. 28 and he will begin his new career March 1. The County Board will appoint a successor within 60 days.
Gulley said he is confident about the future of Franklin County and its leadership.
“Our future is in good hands,” he said.
