A West Frankfort woman was sentenced to four years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for two theft-related charges.

According to a news release from Franklin County State’s Attorney Evan Owens, Mercedes Willis, 22, was sentenced to three years in prison with one year mandatory supervised release for an identity theft, which Owens said occurred March 9.

The same release said she received one year in IDOC with one year mandatory supervised release for theft over $500 but not more than $10,000 that occurred July 10, 2014.
