The Boys and Girls Club of Carbondale has a new director, a little more than two months after its longtime director, Randy Osborn, resigned.

According to a news release from BGCC, Tina Carpenter was named executive director. She has been with the organization for seven years, and was most recently the director of operations.

The board of directors hired Carpenter following a national search.

Carpenter will begin serving as executive director immediately, and will continue to serve as director of operations until a replacement is hired.

Osborn was the director of the club since its founding in 2004, and announced his resignation on Aug. 30.
