The Carbondale Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that took place at about 12:36 a.m. Monday in the 600 block of West Elm Street in Carbondale.

The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact the City of Carbondale Police Department at 618-457-3200 or the Carbondale/SIU Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at 618-549-2677.
