Lights Fantastic

The annual Lights Fantastic Parade is scheduled to roll through downtown Carbondale at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2. The parade starts along Mill Street and travels north on Illinois Avenue to Town Square.

Some roads in downtown Carbondale will be closed from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday for the parade.

Mill Street will be closed between Wall Street and Illinois Avenue. Illinois Avenue will be closed between Mill and Main streets. Walnut Street will be closed between University Avenue and Washington Street. Washington Street will be closed between Grand Avenue and West College Street, and between Walnut Street and East Jackson Street. Shuttles will provide rides from Murdale Shopping Center to the parade area from 4 to 6 p.m., and back again when the parade is over.
