Three houses in Marion sustained damage during a drive-by shooting Thursday afternoon, according to a press release from Marion Police Department.

No one was injured in the incidents.

The release states that at about 3:04 p.m. Thursday, Marion Police officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 700 block of South Bentley Street. When officers arrived, witnesses reported that a tan or gold older model car, possibly a Mercury Marquis or similar model, had fired shots out of a car window while driving northbound in the block.

The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Marion police at call 618-993-2124.
