The Franklin County coroner said Wednesday the two people who died in a West City home this past Thursday were an elderly married couple who died in a murder-suicide.

According to a news release from Franklin County Coroner Marty Leffler, Billie Gene Aaron and his wife, Wilma Louise Aaron, were found dead inside their home in the 400 block of South Central Street after the West City Police Department received a call from a relative of the couple. Both were 86 years old.

Leffler said preliminary autopsy results indicate both died of gunshot wounds, and it appears that Billie Gene Aaron shot Wilma Louise Aaron before taking his own life. Leffler said the man had written a note and both were experiencing health issues.
