Carbondale Police are investigating another armed robbery involving suspects who wore Halloween-style masks, according to a news release from the department.

At about 9:59 p.m. Tuesday night, officers with the Carbondale Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery of Roll N’ Up, which is in the 600 block of East Main Street.

They learned that two suspects displaying firearms went up to an employee outside the business, stole property from him and demanded that he take them inside the business. As they approached the front of the business, the suspects suddenly ran away from the scene. The employee notified the police.

Both suspects wore Halloween-style masks and gloves. One suspect is believed to be a 6-foot-tall male and was wearing gray sweatpants, a white shirt and a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt. The other suspect is also believed to be a 6-foot-tall male and was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and red pants.

This is the latest of several armed robberies by men wearing Halloween-style masks; it is not clear if these robberies or suspects — of differing heights than those listed here — are connected.

Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to call the Carbondale Police Department at 618-457-3200 or Crime Stoppers at 618-549-2677.
