Carbondale police are seeking a suspect who is accused of stealing property out of a car two weeks ago.

According to a Monday news release, police responded to the 1200 block of West Main Street around 10:54 p.m. Nov. 14 following a report of burglary to a motor vehicle.

The release states the suspect was speaking to the victim through the open passenger side window of a car, and the suspect reached into the car and stole property belonging to the victim. The suspect drove away in a newer model gray Toyota Tundra and was last seen turning east onto West Main Street.

The suspect is described in the release as a black female, about 5 feet 2 inches tall with a "tall, skinny build" and wearing a hooded jacket and sweatpants. The police provided surveillance images of the suspect and her vehicle.
