A Chester Police officer was treated for a severe concussion after responding to a call Nov. 4.

Officer Seth Buch responded at 4:07 p.m. to a call of someone experiencing mental health issues, according to a news release from the Chester Police Department.

The report said during the call, Buch suffered an injury to his head while attempting to arrest the 17-year-old juvenile. He was transported to St. Louis University Hospital.

The report states one 17-year-old male from Chester was detained for aggravated battery of police officer and resisting a peace officer, one 16-year-old male juvenile from Chester was detained for obstructing justice and 18-year-old Kristy D. Johnson of Chester was arrested for obstructing justice.
