A Harrisburg man was sentenced Tuesday to 13 years in state prison for a home invasion during which he injured a resident.
According to a news release from Saline County State's Attorney Jayson M. Clark, Scotty L. Adams, 44, entered a guilty plea on Friday to a Class X felony charge of home invasion. Judge Walden E. Morris sentenced Adams to 13 years in prison, to be followed by a three-year period of mandatory supervised release.
The release states Adams invaded a person's home in Harrisburg and intentionally caused injury to that person. Charges were filed in November of 2017, and the Harrisburg Police Department led the investigation.
