A Marion man was sentenced to four years in prison after pleading guilty to unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.
According to a news release from Williamson County State’s Attorney Brandon Zanotti, Josten T. Denwood, 26, pleaded guilty Feb. 13 and was sentenced to four years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
The release states that as part of a Marion narcotics unit investigation, a gun and multiple rounds of ammunition were found at Denwood’s residence on Nov. 1.
Zanotti’s release says Denwood was previously convicted of felonies in 2009 and 2012 in Jackson County, making his possession of the items a Class 2 felony.
