A Raleigh man has been found guilty of three counts of criminal sexual assault and two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse in Saline County Court.

According to a news release from Saline County State's Attorney Jayson M. Clark, Kevin A. Johnson, 42, was found guilty by Judge Walden E. Morris after a bench trial.

On Feb. 8, 2016, the Saline County State's Attorney's Office filed the charges against Johnson after a series of incidents in which it was alleged that Johnson had committed an act of sexual penetration with a minor. Based on an investigation by Illinois State Police, Johnson was charged in relation to five separate incidents between Oct. 1, 2015, and Jan. 18, 2016, according to the release.

Criminal sexual assault is a Class 1 felony that carries a sentence of four to 15 years in prison; aggravated criminal sexual abuse is a Class 2 felony that carries a sentence of three to seven years in prison. Johnson could serve a total of 15 to 52 years on the charges. Johnson is set to be sentenced at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 14.
