BENTON — Two Benton men were arrested as a result of an investigation by the Southern Illinois Drug Task Force and state police meth response team Thursday.

Adam Wasik, 30, and Michael Moulton, 37, were charged with aggravated participation in methamphetamine manufacturing after a meth lab was seized during the investigation, state police said in a news release.

Also, seized were more than 1,500 grams of methamphetamine, chemicals and items used in the drug’s manufacture.

Moulton, who has two small children, was also charged with child endangerment, police said.

Both men were taken to Franklin County Jail.

West City police and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office are participating agencies in the task force.
