CARMI — A Southern Illinois man accused of killing two people in August 2012 was found guilty and likely will receive a 53-year prison sentence.

Danny K. Coston, 37, of Carmi, pleaded guilty during a stipulated bench trial Monday. In a stipulated bench trial, prosecutors summarize their evidence, and a judge asks the defendant whether he will stipulate that the evidence would, in fact, be presented at trial. Coston waived his right to a jury trial earlier in the day on Monday.
