Perry County police made five arrests Feb. 20 during a wanted person search.

Du Quoin Police Officer Lee Prince and Perry County Sheriff's Deputy Jeremy Gothard searched a home at 515 N. Pope St. after speaking with the residence's occupant, Brittany N. Bailey.

An active methamphetamine lab was discovered during the search of the Perry County federal housing residence.

Bailey, 21, of Du Quoin was charged with unlawful meth-related child endangerment and unlawful possession of meth.

Clint D. Williams, 30, of Du Quoin was charged with unlawful meth-related child endangerment, unlawful possession of meth and aggravated unlawful participation of meth manufacture.

Adam L. Melvin, 26, of Du Quoin was charged with aggravated unlawful participation of meth manufacture and unlawful possession of meth.

Joseph W. Keller, 45, of Du Quoin was charged with aggravated unlawful participation of meth manufacture.

William L. Bastable, 22, of Du Quoin was charged with unlawful possession of meth.

The Illinois State Police Methamphetamine Response Team dismantled the lab and the Perry County Drug Task Force concluded the investigation.
