The Williamson County Republican Women are hosting a candidate for Attorney General as its featured speaker for the upcoming Lincoln Day Luncheon.
Erika Harold will be the featured speaker at the Lincoln Day Luncheon at noon Saturday, Feb. 10, in the John A Logan College Conference Center in Carterville. Tickets for the event can be purchased by contacting Kathleen at 618-995-1511.
Harold, the 2003 Miss America who used her winnings to help pay for her law degree from Harvard law school, is facing Republican challenger Gary Grasso, a former mayor and attorney from DuPage County, in the March 20 primary.
Other state and local candidates will be in attendance to meet with local voters.
The group is hosting the event to give voters an opportunity to meet them in person or listen to the candidates, according to a news release from Patti Howard, president of the Williamson County Republican Women.
