A jury found a Herrin man guilty on a charge of aggravated battery Thursday at the Williamson County Courthouse.

Chance A. Coulter, 50, was found guilty after a jury deliberated for about three hours, said Jimmy Dean, assistant to State’s Attorney Charles Garnati. Coulter’s bond was revoked, and he is jailed awaiting a sentencing hearing next week.

Coulter faces up to five years in prison.
