JACKSON COUNTY — The League of Women Voters of Jackson County will be hosting three forums later this month, designed to let voters get to know the candidates running for Jackson County elected offices in November.

The meetings will play host to both the Democratic and Republican candidates for county board, circuit clerk and state’s attorney. People will get the opportunity to meet and speak with each of the candidates and get familiar with their platforms in advance of the Nov. 6 general election.

The first forum is set for 7 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Davis McCann Center in Murphysboro. It will feature Jackson County Board candidates for districts 1, 2, and 3.

The second forum is at 7 p.m. Oct. 18 inside Carbondale City Hall and will feature county board candidates for districts, 4, 5, 6 and 7.

Finally, at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 24 in Carbondale City Hall, candidates for Jackson County Circuit Clerk and Jackson County State’s Attorney will be present for discussion.
