JOHNSTON CITY — Alexander James “A.J.” Wohlgemuth, 11 months, died in the arms of his mother and other family members on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, in Cardinal Glennon Hospital in St. Louis.
A.J. was born Oct. 7, 2016, in Marion, to Rochelle Wohlgemuth and Jason Donovan.
A.J. lit up a room with his smile and he loved everyone.
A.J. is survived by his mother, Rochelle Wohlgemuthand friend, Timothy Long, of Johnston City; father, Jason Donovan, of Bonnie; brother, Scott Woolard; sister, Maddison Pitchers; stepbrother, Ashton Donovan; maternal grandparents, Wes and Phyllis Yates of Benton; aunt and uncle, Jack and Sharon Richards of Georgia; and special friend, Sean Pitchers, of Johnston City.
He was preceded in death by his aunt, Patricia (Richards) Pashudie and a uncle, Scott Wohlgemuth.
Celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at Arrowhead Lake in Johnston City. A balloon release will be held immediately following the service.
Inurnment will be at Horse Prairie Cemetery near Sesser at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Traumatic Brain Injury Awareness. Memorial envelopes will be available at the service.
