LAKE OF EGYPT — Judith Kay “Judy” Long, 61, of the Lake of Egypt area and formerly of Herrin, passed away at 1:58 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, 2017, in Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion with her loving family by her side.
Judy was born Feb. 6, 1956, in Herrin, to Earl Wilburn and Geraldine Shirley (Null) Warren.
Judy was a homemaker and was of the Christian faith.
Judy is survived by her son, Charles Shane (Rachel) Stroud of Creal Springs; three grandchildren, Zoe Stroud of West Frankfort, Faith and Samantha Stroud of Creal Springs; special friend, Ben Griffith of Goreville; two sisters, Beverly (Frank) Spond of New Albany, Indiana, and Shirley (Bill) Gibbs of Johnston City; uncle, Jack Mutchek of Freeman Spur. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; niece, Jessie Kay Hartman, and a great-niece, Miranda Kay Hartman.
Celebration of life service will be 2 p.m., Sunday, May 7, in Pyle Funeral Home with the Rev. Gaylon Stewart officiating.
