PITTSBURG — Mary “Jane” Tolbert, 82, passed away at 12:30 p.m. Saturday March 10, 2018, at her family home.
Services will be held at Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Eddie Donelson officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery in Pittsburg. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Jane was born at “The Brick” on June 18, 1935, in rural Pittsburg, the daughter of Paul and Grace Ann (Sims) Mandrell. She married Forrest Eugene Tolbert on Aug. 30, 1950.
She is survived by three sons, Ronald Tolbert and wife Cathy, Daryl Tolbert and wife Kathy, and Steve Tolbert and wife Joan; seven grandchildren, Shanna O’Bright, Tasha Tolbert, Jaime Tolbert, Chad Tolbert, Keith Karcher, Jared Tolbert, and Rhea Korte; nine great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; one sister, Sue Webb and husband Larry; and two brothers, Bill Mandrell and Dick Mandrell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Paula Ann Mandrell, Kay Mandrell, and Nora Jean Maynard; one brother, Dale Mandrell; two nephews, Paul Wayne Mandrell and Larry Dale Mandrell; and two sisters-in-law, Sharon Mandrell and Rosetta Sue Mandrell.
