JOHNSTON CITY — Sophia Mae Shadowens, was born quiet on Monday, Sept. 4, 2017, in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Sophia is survived by her mommy, Holly Shadowens of Johnston City; daddy, Brandon Callahan of Herrin; maternal grandparents, James (Rebecca Eairheart) Shadowens of Johnston City, Tonya Shadowens-Cooper and Wanda Cooper of Du Quoin; Michelle Cole and David Wright, Sr. of Anna; three uncles, James (Dena) Shadowens Jr., Robert (Jenny) Shadowens and Brandon Shadowens, all of Herrin; aunts, Andrea (Paul) Midgett of Marion, Lori (Chris) Groves of Creal Springs, Lynnie (Jeff) Klotz of Freeman Spur and Brooklyn (Lance) Cole of Du Quoin. She is also survived by several cousins.
She was preceded by her grandparents, Dorothy and Richard Segatto Sr., and Verna Jacques and Fern Shadowens.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today, Sept. 8, in Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City, with the Revs. Michael Glasco and Brandon Abernathy. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Herrin City Cemetery.
