MURPHYSBORO — Stephanie Marie Keltner Hill, 45, formerly of Du Quoin and Chatham, passed away Friday, Dec. 29, 2017.
She was born July 1, 1972, in Springfield, to Monte and Linda Roate Keltner.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Janet Keltner, Harold and Madelyn Roate, and Gerald and Pauline Monagin.
Stephanie was a 1990 graduate of Glenwood High School and received her bachelor’s degree from Eastern Illinois University. She was a cardiac rehab specialist at St. Joseph’s Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro and very active in the “Mended Little Hearts” support group in Southern Illinois.
She will be greatly missed by her children, Matthew and Benjamin Hill of Du Quoin; parents, Monte and Geri Keltner of Chatham and Linda and Greg Abney of Indianapolis, Indiana; sisters, Erin (Josh) Stern of Pleasant Plains and Lyndsey (Christopher) Jacobs of Chatham; brother, Brad (K.C.) Lingafelter of Haviland, Kansas; grandfather, Robert Keltner of Chatham; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cremation rites will be accorded by Cremation Services of Central Illinois, Chatham, before all services.
Her family will greet friends from 9 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, at Chatham Baptist Church, 1500 E. Walnut St., Chatham, IL, 62629, with Pastor Milton Bost officiating. Burial will follow in Chatham Memorial Cemetery.
Memorial may be made to American Heart Association or to Hill Education Fund for her children in care of Marine Bank, 470 N. Main Plaza, Chatham, IL, 62629.
