Benton police officers picked up a man Sunday they say violated an order of protection and had cannabis on him at the time of his arrest.

John E. Gaskin, 33, of West Frankfort was taken into custody in the 1400 block of Franklin Drive. He was charged with violating the protection order and possession of cannabis and take to Franklin County Jail.
