CHICAGO — Police say a 3-year-old boy was among 10 people shot in separate incidents in Chicago overnight.
The child was shot in the arm as he was walking with his parents about 11:30 p.m. Saturday. Chicago Police Department spokesman Hector Alfaro tells the Chicago Tribune a man walked up to the family and began firing. The boy was the only person injured.
Police say the child's wound is not considered life-threatening.
No arrest has been made yet.
Alfaro said Sunday a 22-year-old man was shot in the head and killed when someone fired into a group in a park about 1 a.m. Two others were wounded.
Police say six others hospitalized with gunshot wounds include two men who attempted to flee from a man trying to rob them.
