UNION COUNTY - Jason B. Stanton, 42, and Brandy L. Stanton, 32, both of 35 Wright Lane in rural Anna, face several charges in connection with an alleged methamphetamine manufacturing operation in rural Union County.

Union County State’s Attorney Tyler R. Edmonds said the two were arrested Sept. 26 by Illinois State Police. Each is charged with one count of participation in meth production (a Class X felony), possession of methamphetamine (a Class X felony), possession of meth manufacturing waste (Class 2 felony) and unlawful possession of cannabis plants (Class A misdemeanor).

The two are alleged to have engaged in making more than 400 grams of meth in September.
