Vehicle burglaries under investigation

City police are investigating at least eight burglaries to motor vehicles on Murphysboro’s west side between late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning.

Police said none of the vehicles burgled were locked. Some items discarded by the thieves have been recovered by police.

Anybody with information on these or other crimes is asked to call Murphysboro police at 618-684-5244.
