Registered voters in Williamson County should be on the lookout for new voter registration cards, which will mail out June 27, according to a news release from Williamson County Clerk Amanda Barnes.
This mailing does not apply to voters who received a new card prior to April 2017.
The new voter card will replace all those previously issued and will include the voter’s name, address, township, precinct, polling place and units of government eligible for their vote.
In the event that a card is not received, voters may verify their registration by phone at 618-998-2112 or or online at williamsoncountyil.gov.
Barnes urges voters to check their cards and familiarize themselves with their districts and polling place, and check that the district on the card matches their tax bill.
Barnes also asked that any voter’s card received for a person no longer residing in the household be returned to the County Clerk’s Office with any forwarding information. If a voter is deceased and the death occurred out of Williamson County, residents are asked to notify the clerk’s office in writing.
